Exciting news this week - our Starlink satellite arrived! We've been mostly just hotspot-ing ourselves up at the ridge and burning through our data plan. Well not no more.
Update as of 4/4 - we are seeing pretty impressive speeds and low latency for a satellite connection! We're both able to work here from home (at the same time even) and take video calls. Thanks Musk!
We set up this little beauty this morning.
Fingers crossed we will actually have internet! We still don't have a finalized location for it, we're thinking we'll eventually mount it to the roof.
All in all it cost us ~$500 in upfront costs and is $99/month. Way cheaper than any alternative internet source given the closest access point for us is nearly 2 miles away.
